FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES
Each year, Carlow United Church holds several community events that bring the community together and raise funds for the operation of the church and those in need in our immediate community of Carlow / Mayo and the Bancroft area. These events are the WALK-A-THON and TURKEY AND HAM DINNER.

Sunday, May 3, 2020 The Walk-A-Thon begins immediately following the Sunday Service. A Pot Luck supper is served at 4:30 PM and all walkers, donors and community members are invited to attend. Hungry folks from all over the Bancroft area attend this "all-you-can eat" event held at the Carlow Community Centre in Fort Stewart. |

This special service involves a Guest Speaker as well as Guest Musicians and Vocalist and is followed by a lunch and birthday cake in the hall. You don't want to miss this event.

Reverend Lynn Watson led an inspiring service and all were treated to the music of Carlow's former organist Fran Valois and special music by classical violinists CT Rowe and Liam Kelley.

Each year our sanctuary gets a make over with Thanksgiving decorations. We are so blessed to live in an area where the fall colours are nothing short of magnificent and a testimony to the love of our creator. |

REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICES
1:00 PM, Monday, November 11, 2019 Each year on Remembrance Day (November 11th), a service is conducted at the Carlow / Mayo Township Cenotaph located on the grounds of Carlow United Church. The "colour party" is made up of members of the Bancroft Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion complete with piper. Service is conducted by Reverend Lynn Watson, Carlow United Church Minister and Chaplain to the Royal Canadian Legion Bancroft. Refreshments are served by the United Church Women in the Carlow United Church sanctuary after the service. Access for seniors and handicapped attendees is made easy with the paved walkway to the cenotaph and our ramp to the sanctuary and washroom. |
