The amazing cooks of the Carlow United Church Women sponsored this event and the attendance exceeded all expectations.

Hungry folks from all over the Bancroft area attended this "all-you-can eat" event held at the Carlow United Church Hall.

The MENU included home cooked chili, salad, garlic bread, desert, coffee, tea and juice.

Thanks to all who came out to enjoy a good meal and support our UCW.

Thanks to all of you who worked so hard to make this event such a success.

ANNIVERSARY SERVICE 2022

11:00 AM Sunday, July 24, 2022

The rich history of the Carlow Church is celebrated each year around this time. 2022 marked its 147th Anniversary. For more details on this rich heritage, see the HISTORY page of this website.

The service was conducted by the Carlow United Church Women. Instead of the traditional sermon, Elva Gaudreau gave a talk and slide show on the history of this church and reminded us of the journey we have been on.

We were honoured to have some of the most fantastic gospel music you can find north of Nashville. It was brought to us by Dean Card and Denise and Jan Bennett and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Christmas Eve Service December 24, 2021

The Christmas Eve communion service was held at 11:00 AM led by Rev. David Watson with a guest appearance by Santa Claus. Rev. David gave a history of Saint Nicholas, followed by an appearance by Santa Claus. This was well received by all, but especially the children.

To the right is a picture of Santa Claus as he talks to the congregation.

ANNIVERSARY SERVICE 2020

11:30 AM Sunday, July 19, 2020

The rich history of Carlow United Church is celebrated each year around this time. 2020 marked the 145th Anniversary of Carlow United Church. For more details on this rich heritage, see the HISTORY page of this website.

Inspite of COVID-19 and considering the restrictions of holding this service indoors, tents were set up outside, masks were worn and chairs spaced for the appropriate distancing. We were honoured to have Rev. Erin Oxford of the Dale Ministry in Toronto as our guest speaker for the second year in a row. Music was provided by the Hughey Band and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

In 2020, Carlow United Church celebrated 145 years of spreading Gods word in the community. Following are some photos from that celebration.

EASTER SUNDAY SUNRISE SERVICE

The 2017 Easter Sunday Sunrise Service was held on April 16, 2017 with sunrise due at 6:20 AM. The weather was exceptionally mild but it did not cooperate and let us see the sun until several hours later, but the morning was lit up with the seventeen (17) hearty souls who were motived to be up at that hour of the morning and attend.

Conducting the service was our own Rev. Lynn Watson. Half the congregation were members of St. Paul's United Church in Bancroft and the others from Carlow United Church.

A lite breakfast of sweet and savory muffins, cheese, juice, coffee and tea was served after the outside portion of the service. The remainder of the service was carried out in-doors.
